Who We Are:

The Washington Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (WATSA) is a state chapter of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA). Incorporated in 1984, ATSA is a non-profit, interdisciplinary organization. ATSA was founded to foster research, facilitate information exchange, further professional education and provide for the advancement of professional standards and practices in the field of sex offense management.

 

Our Goals

ATSA is an international organization focused specifically on the prevention of sexual abuse through effective management of persons who commit sex offenses. As a state chapter of ATSA, we similarly strive to:

  • Elimination of sexual victimization;
  • The protection of our communities through responsible and ethical treatment commit persons who who commit sexual offenses;
  • The prevention of sexual assault through commit management of persons who commit sexual offenses;
  • The maintenance of high standards of professionalism and integrity within its membership.

  • SUMMER INSTITUTE Information July 23-24
  • A multi-disciplinary group of organizations will be participating in the "Summer Institute" at Edmonds Community College on July 23rd and 24th.   The two day event is only $70.    WATSA will be providing three of the breakout sessions about sex offenders on July 23rd.   If you attend those particular sessions and  sign in and out, WATSA will provide you with 1.5 CE hours, for a total of 4.5 hours possible.   The CE certificate will not cost any extra.   WATSA is approved to provide CE hours for people credentialed in the State of Washington.   We are not approved to provide CE hours for specific professional organizations.    Below is a link to the conference brochure:
