WATSA Spring Conference 

The WATSA Spring Conference is less than a week away.  There are still some spaces available to attend.  Please go to the event page for more information.  We hope to see you at Semiahmoo for the conference.

WATSA Retreat

The WATSA retreat will be returning to Mountain View Lodge in Manson again this year.  The retreat will be the weekend of June 8-10, 2018.   We look forward to seeing you there.   If you have an idea for a retreat discussion topic please email Dan Knoepfler  - dan@dkno.net  

Sex Offender Management  Conference

The Washington State SOPB will be holding their conference again this year.  It will occur in May.  This year's  conference will be held in Yakima. We will post more information about the conference as it becomes available.  Here is a link to the presentations from 2017.

Static/Stable/ Acute Training:

This spring WATSA will be offering the updated Static/Stable/Acute training.  It will be limited to 30 people. 

The Passing of a Colleague and Friend of WATSA

WATSA is sad to announce the passing of one of the original forensic psychologists in our area that worked with people convicted of sexual offenses; Dr. Irwin Dreiblatt passed away in late September..    Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.   The link to the obituary for our colleague and friend is below.   We'll miss you Irv!

Who We Are:

The Washington Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (WATSA) is a state chapter of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA). Incorporated in 1984, ATSA is a non-profit, interdisciplinary organization. ATSA was founded to foster research, facilitate information exchange, further professional education and provide for the advancement of professional standards and practices in the field of sex offense management.


Our Goals

ATSA is an international organization focused specifically on the prevention of sexual abuse through effective management of persons who commit sex offenses. As a state chapter of ATSA, we similarly strive to:

  • Elimination of sexual victimization;
  • The protection of our communities through responsible and ethical treatment commit persons who who commit sexual offenses;
  • The prevention of sexual assault through commit management of persons who commit sexual offenses;
  • The maintenance of high standards of professionalism and integrity within its membership.
