Please join us for a joint meeting with the Department of Corrections. The topic is the chaperone process and how to work collaboratively to benefit community safety. Dominic Winter and Michael O'Connell will facilitate, with an introduction by Jenny Johnson-Riley. Some areas to be covered include:
-What are chaperones (treatment and DOC definitions)
-Why are chaperones important?
-How is a chaperone approved (procedural piece for both CCO role and SOTP on a shared case).
-Timeline for approval process tasks
-What are reasons why a chaperone would not be approved?
-If there are concerns in the approval process for a person (i.e. disagreement on suitability, timelines) what is the appropriate process to address?
